Cookie Notice
1. What cookies and similar storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way without being sent with every request. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) treats all of these the same: storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for can be used without consent but must be explained; anything else, such as analytics or advertising, needs your prior consent.
2. The marketing site, onetake.digital
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| ot_consent | Cookie, first party, scoped to onetake.digital and its subdomains | Remembers whether you have seen the cookie card and your analytics choice, so you are asked once rather than again in the studio. It holds that choice and nothing else: no identifier, nothing about you. A copy is kept in local storage as ot.cookies in case your browser refuses cookies | 6 months, then we ask again |
| _ga, _ga_<id> | Cookie, first party (Google Analytics) | Set only if you choose Allow analytics: a random identifier that lets us count visits and see how the site is used, with IP anonymisation on | Up to 2 years; not set at all if you choose Essential only |
The site is a static page served from our own servers in the EU, and the video previews load from the same place. There are no advertising pixels and no social media plug-ins. The analytics cookies above are set only after you choose Allow analytics; see section 5.
3. The studio, app.onetake.digital
All of the following are strictly necessary: without them you could not sign in, stay signed in, see your own media or keep your settings.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| ot.session | Local storage, first party | Holds the signed tokens that keep you signed in and refresh your session | Until you sign out or the tokens expire |
| Media cookie | Cookie, first party, HttpOnly and Secure | Lets your browser fetch your own pictures and clips from our private storage; cannot be read by scripts | Your session; removed on sign-out |
| onetake.intent | Session storage, first party | Remembers where to return you after signing in with Google | Until the tab closes |
| accent, openFolders, folderFilter, navOpen | Local storage, first party | Your accent colour, which folders are open, the current filter and whether the menu is open | Until you clear your browser storage |
| ot_consent | Cookie, first party, set by the marketing site on onetake.digital | The same record as on the marketing site, read here so the studio honours a choice you already made and does not ask a second time. The studio sets no analytics of its own today; if that changes it will ask first, in the same card | 6 months, then we ask again |
4. Third parties you meet along the way
| Provider | When | What they set | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Only on the membership and top-up payment pages | __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid and related fraud signals, on Stripe's domains | Fraud prevention and completing your payment; strictly necessary. See Stripe's cookie policy |
| Only if you choose Continue with Google | Google's own sign-in cookies, on Google's domains | Confirming your identity to us. See Google's cookie policy |
5. Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the marketing site is used, and no advertising. It is off until you choose Allow analytics on the card at the foot of the page: choose Essential only and it never loads. When you do allow it, Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_<id> cookies listed in section 2, stores a random identifier for up to two years, and sends anonymised usage data, with IP anonymisation on, to Google, which may process it in the United States under its data transfer safeguards. It builds aggregate statistics only, never advertising profiles, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's storage. How we use the data behind it is set out in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your choices
- You can clear or block storage in your browser's settings at any time. Blocking the studio's storage will sign you out and stop the app working.
- Signing out of the studio removes the media cookie and your session tokens.
- To see the cookie card again, delete the
ot_consentcookie for onetake.digital, and theot.cookiesentry in local storage if your browser kept one.
7. More information
